Platform Updates (April 2026)
- Instagram: Major redesign launched this month, finally introducing clickable links in captions for Meta Verified creators. The algorithm now prioritizes “originality signals” to counter AI-generated spam.
- TikTok: US TikTok Shop revenue is on track for $112B this year. “Search Ads” are dominant; 60% of Gen Z now starts product discovery on TikTok rather than Google.
- YouTube: Introducing “10-second highlight previews” that replace traditional thumbnails. AI-dubbing for global reach is now standard, effectively making every creator a “global” channel by default.
